Adult Education Week

It's Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. Did you know that that children of parents with low literacy have a 72% chance of being at the lowest reading levels themselves?  And that is what the Charles County Literacy Council does in providing free one-on-one adult education -- help that mother who wants to help her children with their homework or the parent who wants to share in reading a book to their child.  Volunteer for one hour a week and make that difference.  Our next workshop is November 16 (Saturday).
