It all happens on March 23 -- if you are looking for that volunteer experience which has a huge, positive impact on someone's life and can be coordinated within your own schedule, CCLC adult tutoring just may be your answer. Imagine helping someone learn to read.  Imagine helping someone improve their math in order to pass the military exam and begin serving our country.  Our next workshop is set for Saturday, March 23, from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Call our office at 301-934-6488 or email us at charlescountyliteracy@comcast.net for all the details.  You must pre-register for the workshop.

Think about this – for as little as 52 hours a year you can make a tremendous change in someone’s life.  Imagine helping someone learn to read.  Imagine helping someone improve their math in order to pass the military exam and begin serving our country.  52 hours a year can make that difference by becoming a tutor with the Charles County Literacy Council.  Coordinating within your own schedule, you can help meet the needs for our services within our county of free adult literacy education.  Workshops are always on a Saturday from 9 am to 3:30 pm.  Call our office at 301-934-6488 or email us at charlescountyliteracy@comcast.net for info..
February 5 at 7 pm -- the date to come and learn more about CCLC and what we do by attending our monthly.  The meeting is held at the United Way House, 10250 La Plata Road (Rt. 488), La Plata.  Learn from our tutors of the impact CCLC and tutors make on our adult residents of Charles County who cannot read or cannot do simple math problems.  Just imagine not being able to read even this.
